Get Well Soon Dawn...

As many of you are now aware, the lovely Dawn suddenly got an appointment through at short notice for her operation.

After frantically packing her bag and sorting herself out for being admitted to hopsital, and the late cancellation of her show on Tuesday night she was whisked away for the procedure.

Phil has now reported back to us that she's out of surgery with no complications and is expected home on Friday.

I'm sure all of the regular listeners will echo my own thoughts in wishing Dawn a speedy recovery, and when she gets her strength back, we all look forward to hearing her on the radio again!

Welcome to the Bear Cave

Slave Radio is proud to welcome out latest new DJ to the team as Papa Bear joins us on Tuesday nights.

Coming from the Pacific coast, with a three hour time difference from New Jersey, the bear will be hitting the airwaves every week after the Softcore Whore Show, extending the live shows on that night and providing greater availability for listeners in Western USA.

We all wish Papa Bear a warm welcome, and the very best of luck with his debut show tonight.

New Look Saturday Nights

Following the absence due to the upheaval of relocation of Mr. C and his R&B show, the Slave Radio Team have decided that it would be unfair to replace Eric immediately, to allow him to return to his DJ duties in the near future if he wishes.

However, until that time, it leaves us with a blank night on Saturdays, so this is now going to become a flexible show filled by any of the other DJ's. Your regular hosts throughout the week will have the opportunity to put on an extra show, allowing them to diversify from their normal style of music.

Of course, with the time differences across the ocean, Saturday shows may vary in their start time and presenter, so make sure you all keep informed by consulting the calendar above for weekly details!

Once again, Hairy Trev is taking his rock show out on the road at the #50's Room Social Gathering!

Hairy Trev wil be bringing his usual blend of classic rock music and topical comments in an extended show infront of a live audience of special guests invited by our host Sir Bud.

The Independence Day Marathon

Once again the year turns full circle and July 4th is upon us once more!!

To celebrate, Slave radio again brings you a marathon show with 24 hours of live shows to help you party through the day!

Mr Goodtime will be extending his regular Thursday night request show to start everything off at midnight, before the Softcore Whore takes over at 5am with a topical 2fer show. This will be followed at 10am by Hairy Trev until 3pm when Paradise Girl and Mel will be continuing the live shows into the evening. Finally, the Hardcore Troubadour picks up the reins at 8pm to see out the last 4 hours of the day!

Farewell to the Smooth Operator

It is regretable that this weekend, Slave Radio will be bidding a fond farewell to Mr. C who will be hanging up his microphone for a while as he goes through the torment of moving home.

Eric has been entertaining and relaxing us with the best in R&B and the blues every Saturday night, with a show that has always encouraged the listener to take it easy! He first picked up the mic just before the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in the North Eastern States, and in the subsequent upheaval and problems, became instrumental in covering the stream and shows from other DJ's who were unable to broadcast.

It was this effort and dedication which brought the rest of the team together more as a single family and allowed Slave Radio to further develop. Together with his soft voice and easy listening playlist, Eric brought a new style to the station.

All of the staff and fellow DJ's at Slave Radio would like to thank Eric for his hard work and effort during his time on air, and to wish him the very best of luck for the future and his relocation.

He will of course, be made welcome to return when he is settled!
