Christmas 2015

It's been a while since I updated the blog due to personal computer issues, but as I'm now resolved and back on air again, I have to take this opportunity to announce the Slave Radio activities over the festive period.

 

 

Although the departure of some DJ's has left us a bit thin on the ground, we weren't going to let that stop us attempting our annual 24 hour broadcast marathon, and the addition of Debbie and Linz from the Sunday night show has brought in new staff... we wish them both a warm welcome, and good luck for their first marathon!

 

 

With the lower numbers of DJ's, it has been difficult to schedule for 24 hours, but the intended timetable is as follows:

 

 

Times listed are Eastern Standard time, with UK time in brackets!

 

12am - 3am    (5am - 8am).....Phil

3am   - 9am    (8am - 2pm).....Dawn

9am   - 10am  (2pm - 3pm).....Trev, to introduce:

10am - 4pm    (3pm - 9pm).....Debbie, joined by Trev and then Linz

4pm   - 9pm    (9pm - 2am).....Trev

9pm   - 12am  (2am - 5am).....Phil

 

A further event is being pencilled for the 50's room Christmas Pantomime although this requires lots of planning in order to be broadcast on Saturday, Dec 26th.

New Night for The Softcore Whore

As from this week, due to the inclusion and addition of new shows to the schedule, Dawnie's "Two for Tuesday" show will now be found on a new day and time.

The show has been renamed "The Pre-weekend Blast-off" and can be heard every Thursday night at 4pm eastern time / 9pm UK. This allows the show to be more accessible to her UK audience who always miss out on such a great and professional DJ.

By moving from Tuesday night to Thursday, it has also allowed one of our newest DJ's "The Soul Man" to extend his show later into the evening. He now runs for an extra hour, starting at 4pm eastern time / 9pm UK time.

Slave Radio has a temporary new home!!

As many of you will have realised in the past week, the Collarspace website and chat facility has been up and down, more times than a hooker's knickers....

This week, new rooms has been opened up for people to talk and listen to slave radio on xxxchatters...

For those without Mirc or similar IRC programs, go to http://www.xxxchatters.com

Enter your regular username, and age. 
Then in the drop down menu, select the channel to choose your chatroom:

Click on the "CHAT NOW" button and join us again.

A Warm Welcome to the Diver

Daylight Saving Time

Please take note that Daylight Saving Time begins in America on 8th March, but in the UK we don't put our clocks forward until the end of the month. This will mean some changes to the timings of your favourite shows on Slave Radio as DJ's will be starting at their usual LOCAL time.

UK based shows (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) will still be heard in the UK at the regular time, but american listeners will be required to tune in one hour LATER. Conversely, the shows coming from our American DJ's (Rebel, Dawn, Phil and Papa Bear) will be unaffected for stateside listeners, but the UK audience should tune in one hour EARLIER.

To avoid any confusion, please check the calendar on the blog for up-to-date start times of all shows until the end of March.
